Counselling is not about having all the answers- it’s about having a space where you can safely explore the questions.
For many LGBTIQ+ people those questions can be deeply connected to identity, belonging, relationships, self worth and finding a sense of who you are in a world where you may not always feels safe to do so.
I offer a calm, affirming and supportive space where you can recenter, feel heard and explore some of your experiences without judgement. Whether your navigating your sexuality or gender identity, struggling with belonging or self acceptance, experiencing anxiety, grief or relationship difficulties, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, counselling can provide a safe space to reconnect with who you are and find what matters to you- at your own pace.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you decide to reach out- I’m here to help hold that space for you and explore it together.
About:
Hi, I’m Luke.
I know how difficult it can be to carry things silently or feel stuck trying to manage everything on your own. My own experiences with mental health challenges - and receiving counselling myself during that time - played a significant part in my recovery and ultimately inspired me to pursue counselling professionally. Experiencing the value of being genuinely heard, supported, and understood deepened my belief in the importance of authentic human connection with therapy.
Since then, I’ve completed a Master’s of Counselling and am a registered counsellor with PACFA. I’ve spent the past several years working within mental health settings across Australia, supporting people through anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, substance use challenges and significant life changes.
I also have experience working alongside LGBTIQ+ individuals and understand some of the unique challenges that can come with identity, belonging, relationships and navigating the world as part of the community myself.
My approach to counselling is warm, person centered, and collaborative. I believe each person’s experiences and story are unique, and I aim to create a calm welcoming space where clients feel safe to explore what they’re going through without judgement.
My goal is to support people to reconnect with themselves, build self understanding, and move forward towards meaningful and lasting change at their own pace.
